Drabble.
The glint of a gun flashed and faded just as fast as I saw it. I didn't miss the sound of it though, and watched red blossom on Kenneth's shirt as he fell against the brick of a building, sliding to the sidewalk. Everything happened so quickly I couldn't grasp it all, but I must've hit my knees. My hands fluttered uselessly over him not knowing where to land. The shot hit him in his right shoulder and he was pressing it with his left hand. My vision went blurry as I watched the skin on his fingers stain with blood. He stared at me, eyes wide as his clean hand settled on my cheek, thumb brushing away tears. I didn't even realize I was crying
